This medication helps alleviate symptoms of cough and phlegm, and assists in controlling symptoms of asthma. It is also used to improve discomfort, pain, and swelling in the throat caused by stomatitis, tonsillitis, and pharyngitis. Overall, it is effective in relieving various symptoms related to inflammation of the respiratory system and oral cavity.

How to take

Adult dose

For ages 15 years and older: take 1 tablet 6 times a day. The dosing interval is more than 2 hours.

Child dose

For ages 11 to under 15 years: take 1 tablet 4 times a day. The dosing interval is more than 3 hours. For ages 8 to under 11 years: take 1 tablet 3 times a day. The dosing interval is more than 4 hours.

Precautions

This medicine should not be taken by women who are pregnant or may become pregnant. It should not be used for infants under 3 months of age. People with hypersensitivity to this medication or any of its components, or with a history of such reactions, should not take it. Patients taking MAO inhibitors, such as antidepressants, antipsychotics, mood stabilizers, or anti-Parkinson drugs, or those who have stopped using them within the last 2 weeks, should not take this medication. This medication contains lactose, so individuals with lactose intolerance or hereditary lactose degradation disorder should not take it. It is advisable not to take other cough medicines, cold medicines, antihistamines, or sedatives while taking this medication. Allergic individuals or those with a history of drug allergies should consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication. People with liver, kidney, heart, thyroid diseases, diabetes, high blood pressure, the elderly, those with weakened bodies, or those with high fever should consult a healthcare professional before use. Breastfeeding women should also consult a doctor before taking this medication. Smokers or those with respiratory diseases such as asthma, chronic bronchitis, or emphysema, or those with a cough lasting more than a week or recurrent cough, fever or rash, or headache accompanying a cough should consult a healthcare professional before use. This medication contains Yellow No. 4 (tartrazine) as a coloring agent, so individuals allergic or hypersensitive to this component should exercise caution. If symptoms such as rash, itching, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, anxiety, tremors, or insomnia occur while taking this medication, discontinue use immediately and consult a healthcare professional. If symptoms do not improve after 5-6 doses, discontinue use and consult a doctor. It is generally not recommended to use this medication for children under 2 years of age, and if absolutely necessary, a doctor's consultation is required. The prescribed dosage and administration must be strictly followed, and caregivers should supervise and guide when administering it to children. For children under 7, administering in syrup form is safer. It is advisable not to consume alcohol while taking this medication. This medication should be kept out of reach of children and stored in a sealed container away from direct sunlight in a cool, dry place. To maintain quality, it is important not to transfer to another container.
