Efficacy & effects

Improvement in blood sugar control for type 2 diabetes

  • Difficulty in blood sugar control for patients with type 2 diabetes
View approved original text

This medication is used in conjunction with dietary and exercise therapy to help patients with type 2 diabetes manage their blood sugar levels. Initially, it can be administered alone, and if blood sugar control is difficult with monotherapy, it may be used in combination with metformin. Additionally, if blood sugar control is insufficient with other antidiabetic medications such as sulfonylureas, thiazolidinediones, and insulin, this drug can be added to the regimen. These methods effectively improve blood sugar control in patients.
