Adult dose

The recommended dose of this medicine is 1 capsule (0.5mg) once daily. Because exposure to the capsule contents may irritate the oropharyngeal mucosa, swallow the capsule whole without chewing or breaking it. This medicine may be taken with or without food. Dose adjustment is not necessary in patients with renal impairment or elderly patients. The recommended dose in patients with hepatic impairment has not been established because no data are available on administration of this medicine to these patients.

This medication can be absorbed through the skin, so women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should not handle or take this medication. If the capsule is broken and the medication comes into contact with the skin, wash the area immediately with soap and water. This medication is contraindicated for use in children under 18, so care should be taken to prevent pediatric contact with it. Women, children under 18, and individuals with allergies to this medication or similar ingredients should not take it. Adult men planning to conceive should consult their doctor before using this medication due to its potential impact on fertility. Patients with severe urinary obstruction or liver dysfunction need to exercise caution when administering this medication, and urinary retention symptoms should be closely monitored during treatment. The concentration of this medication may increase when used with potent CYP3A4 inhibitors, so caution is advised when taken together. Sexual dysfunction symptoms such as erectile dysfunction, reduced libido, and ejaculation disorders may occur during treatment, and these symptoms can persist even after stopping the medication. Long-term use may cause breast-related adverse effects such as breast tenderness or enlargement, so patients should consult their doctor if such symptoms arise. This medication reduces PSA levels, which is crucial for prostate cancer risk assessment, so caution is needed when interpreting PSA levels after taking the medication, and regular testing is recommended. Patients should avoid donating blood during treatment, and at least 6 months must pass after the last dose before donating blood. This medication is known not to affect driving or machine operation abilities, but caution should be exercised in case of adverse reactions. There is no specific antidote for overdose, so medical assistance should be sought immediately if suspicious symptoms occur. Keep out of reach of children, and store in the original container to prevent misuse or degradation of quality.
