Precautions

This medication can significantly increase the risk of serious cardiovascular side effects in women who smoke. Particularly, women over the age of 35 who smoke more than 15 cigarettes a day should not take this medication. This medication should not be administered to patients with a history of vascular diseases such as thrombosis, myocardial infarction, or cerebrovascular accidents, or to patients with risk factors for these diseases. It should not be used in patients with severe liver dysfunction, liver tumors, or in women who are pregnant or suspect they may be pregnant. This medication should be used with caution in patients with a high risk of cardiovascular diseases, including smokers, those with hypertension, obese individuals, women over 40 years of age, liver disease patients, migraine sufferers, and patients with valvular heart disease. This medication can cause adverse cardiovascular reactions such as thrombosis, stroke, myocardial infarction, as well as various side effects including menstrual irregularities, breast pain, gastrointestinal disturbances, headaches, depression, and skin rashes. Since the use of combined hormonal contraceptives can increase the risk of thrombosis, blood pressure should be monitored and the health status assessed periodically before and during use. If any adverse reactions occur or worsen, consult a doctor immediately. This medication's effectiveness may be reduced when taken with other drugs that affect liver metabolic enzymes, so inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking any other medications. This medication should not be used during pregnancy, and breastfeeding women should also avoid use as it can affect the baby through breast milk. In case of overdose, symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, and mild vaginal bleeding in young girls may occur; there is no specific antidote, so treatment should be symptomatic. This medication can affect endocrine and liver function test results, so inform your healthcare provider about its use during testing.
