Used for diseases causing pain and swelling due to inflammation in the throat area, such as pharyngitis, tonsillitis, and peritonsillar abscess.

How to take

Adult dose

Adults should take 1 pouch (9.0g) 3 times a day before meals or between meals, dissolving it in warm water and taking small sips to moisten the mouth or throat.

Child dose

For ages 7-14, 2/3 of the adult dose (6.0g); for ages 4-6, 1/2 of the adult dose (4.5g); for ages 2-3, 1/3 of the adult dose (3.0g); for under 1 year, 1/4 of the adult dose (2.25g).

Precautions

This medicine should not be given to infants under 3 months. Patients with hypertension or issues with the heart or kidneys must consult a specialist before taking this medicine. Elderly patients or those with swelling should also take caution, and dosages may need to be reduced. Patients on other medications or women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should consult a specialist before taking this medicine. Individuals who are weak or frail may experience more severe side effects from this medicine, so caution is required. Individuals with a weak stomach or frequent diarrhea should also consult before taking it. Those who have experienced skin rashes or itching due to medication in the past must consult a specialist before taking this medicine. Infants under 1 year should not take this medicine unless under special circumstances, and they must see a doctor if they do. If abnormal symptoms like swelling of the face or extremities or elevated blood pressure occur during use, discontinue use immediately and consult a specialist. If muscle weakness, cramps, or paralysis symptoms appear, stop taking this medicine and consult healthcare professionals. If symptoms such as skin rash, itching, indigestion, or diarrhea occur, stop taking it immediately and consult. If symptoms do not improve after 5 to 6 doses, discontinue the medicine and consult a specialist. It is principle not to take this medicine for a long time; if long-term use is necessary, consult a specialist. Adhere strictly to the prescribed dosage and method of use, and do not arbitrarily increase or decrease the dosage. If taken with potassium-containing medications or those containing licorice, or certain diuretics, the risk of side effects increases, so caution is advised. When taking other herbal medicines, ensure that the ingredients do not overlap. When administering it to children, supervision and guidance from a guardian is necessary. This medicine should be stored in a cool place away from direct sunlight and moisture, and must be sealed after use.
