Child dose
The safety and efficacy data for children under 12 years of age and adolescents aged 12-17 years is insufficient, therefore use in this population is not recommended.

This medication is used for the treatment of peripheral and central neuropathic pain in adults. It is also used as an adjunctive treatment for partial seizures in patients with epilepsy, whether or not they have secondary generalized symptoms. Furthermore, it is effective in alleviating the symptoms of fibromyalgia. In other words, this drug helps improve the pain and seizure symptoms associated with various neurological disorders.

How to take

Adult dose

This medication should be taken orally in two divided doses per day, regardless of meals. 1. Neuropathic pain 1) Peripheral neuropathic pain: An initial dose of 150 mg per day may be administered, which can be increased to 300 mg daily after 3 to 7 days. Subsequently, the daily dose can be increased to a maximum of 600 mg at intervals of 7 days. 2) Central neuropathic pain: An initial dose of 150 mg per day is administered, and after one week, can be increased to 300 mg per day.

Precautions

This medication may increase the risk of suicidal thoughts or behaviors, so if mood changes or symptoms of depression occur during treatment, you should inform your doctor immediately.
