View approved original text

This medication is used to effectively control cholesterol and triglyceride levels in patients with primary hypercholesterolemia and mixed dyslipidemia. It reduces the levels of LDL-cholesterol, total cholesterol, Apo B protein, triglycerides, and non-HDL cholesterol, while increasing HDL-cholesterol levels to improve blood lipid balance. It should be used in conjunction with appropriate dietary therapy, and administered when dietary therapy alone is insufficient. Additionally, this medication should be administered considering risk factors for atherosclerotic vascular disease, and it is essential to first identify and treat causes of dyslipidemia due to other diseases or medications. Regular blood lipid level checks are necessary to confirm treatment effectiveness and safety, and treatment may be initiated early in patients with acute coronary events. Through this process, hypercholesterolemia is effectively treated.
