This medication is used in patients with essential hypertension who have difficulty controlling blood pressure with telmisartan alone. How to take

Adult dose

For patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with telmisartan alone, take one dose daily with or without food, along with a drink. It is recommended to adjust the dose of each component according to the individual's needs, and when clinically appropriate, this medication can be directly switched from monotherapy. - Telmisartan/Hydrochlorothiazide combination 40/12.5 mg can be administered when blood pressure is insufficiently controlled with 40 mg of telmisartan.

Precautions

This medication should not be used during pregnancy, especially in the second and third trimesters, as it can cause serious harm to the fetus. Bronchitis, pharyngitis, sinusitis, hypokalemia, hyperuricemia, hyponatremia, anxiety, depression, insomnia, sleep disturbances, dizziness, visual disturbances, blurred vision, vertigo, tachycardia, arrhythmia, hypotension, orthostatic hypotension, dyspnea, respiratory discomfort, pneumonia, pulmonary edema, diarrhea, dry mouth, abdominal distension, abdominal pain, constipation, indigestion, vomiting, abnormal liver function/liver dysfunction, erythema, pruritus, rash, diaphoresis, lower back pain
