(Hypertension, Heart Failure) treatment and improvement of hypercholesterolemia and reduction of cardiovascular disease risk
This medication is used for patients who need to take both valsartan and rosuvastatin simultaneously. Valsartan is used for essential hypertension and heart failure, especially in heart failure patients intolerant to ACE inhibitors, and is effective in reducing the risk of death after myocardial infarction. Rosuvastatin lowers cholesterol levels in patients with hypercholesterolemia and mixed hyperlipidemia that are difficult to control with diet and delays the progression of atherosclerosis. It also helps reduce the risks of stroke, myocardial infarction, and revascularization in patients at high risk for cardiovascular disease. Therefore, this medication is used to improve various cardiovascular disease-related conditions including hypertension, heart failure, and hypercholesterolemia.
This medication is administered only to adults, and the dosage should be individualized based on the effects and tolerability of valsartan and rosuvastatin for each patient. ◆ Valsartan 1. Essential hypertension - Take with water during meals or between meals. - It is recommended to take it at the same time every day (e.g., in the morning). - The basic recommended dose is 80 mg administered orally once a day, and if blood pressure control is insufficient, it can be increased to 160 mg per day.
