This medication is used for patients who require concurrent administration of Valsartan and Rosuvastatin. Valsartan is used to reduce the risk of mortality after myocardial infarction, for primary hypertension, and for heart failure (especially in patients intolerant to ACE inhibitors). Rosuvastatin helps manage hypercholesterolemia and dyslipidemia, slows the progression of atherosclerosis, and reduces the risk of cardiovascular diseases. It is particularly effective in reducing the risk of stroke, myocardial infarction, and vascular interventions in middle-aged patients with coronary artery disease risk factors. Therefore, this medication is used for the treatment of patients at high risk of hypertension and cardiovascular diseases.
◆ Valsartan 1. Primary Hypertension Take the medication with water during meals or between meals. It is recommended to take it at the same time every day (e.g., morning). 1) Adults: A single oral dose of 80 mg once daily is recommended. For patients not well controlled on this dose, the dosage can be increased to 160 mg once daily or combined with a diuretic. If additional blood pressure reduction is needed, the maximum daily dose can be increased to 320 mg.
Pediatrics: Safety and efficacy have not been established in children and adolescents under 18 years old.
This medication can cause serious harm to the fetus if taken during pregnancy, especially in the second and third trimesters, so it should be discontinued immediately once pregnancy is confirmed. This medication should not be used in patients with a history of allergic reactions, severe liver or kidney dysfunction, or certain genetic diseases. Elderly patients or those with high potassium levels or poor liver function should take this medication with particular caution, and adjustments should be made to ensure that blood pressure does not drop too low. If symptoms such as muscle pain, muscle weakness, or severe fatigue occur during treatment, consult a physician immediately, and necessary blood tests should be conducted to check for muscle damage. This medication may affect liver function, so routine liver function tests before and during treatment are recommended. When taking this medication with other drugs, effectiveness may vary due to interactions, so it is essential to inform about other medications being taken, particularly when taking potassium-sparing diuretics or certain pain relievers. Pregnant or breastfeeding women are advised not to use this medication, and women planning to become pregnant should use appropriate contraceptive methods. This medication is not indicated for use in children and adolescents, as safety and efficacy have not been established. In cases of overdose, severe hypotension or decreased consciousness may occur, necessitating immediate medical attention; as there is no specific antidote, symptom-based treatment is required. This medication should be kept out of the reach of children and should not be transferred to other containers for safety.
Hives, severe swelling (angioedema), chest tightness, difficulty breathing, cold sweat, pallor, severe rash with fever, blisters, skin peeling, pain in oral/ocular mucous membranes, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, asthma attacks, cough with fever accompanying respiratory abnormalities, jaundice (yellowing of the skin or eyes), excessive tiredness across the body, sudden and severe headache, lightning headache, seizures, confusion of consciousness, visual disturbances, paralysis.
Dyspepsia, nausea, dizziness, headache, conjunctival hemorrhage, constipation, weakness, chest pain, facial swelling, peripheral edema, rhinitis, urinary tract infection, bruising, increased serum liver aminotransferases (AST, ALT), increased serum creatine phosphokinase, elevated potassium levels, increased gamma-glutamyl transferase, musculoskeletal rigidity, limb pain, sensory loss, anxiety, upper respiratory tract infection, pharyngitis, tonsillitis, spinal stenosis, insomnia.

This medication is sensitive to light and should be stored in a sealed container that blocks light. Additionally, it is important to maintain a room temperature between 1°C and 30°C while storing the medication. This helps preserve its effectiveness over time.
