Treatment of fungal infections of the skin and nails, vaginal, oral, and corneal infections, and systemic fungal infections
This medication is used to treat various fungal infections such as candidiasis, tinea versicolor, tinea corporis, oral candidiasis, fungal keratitis, onychomycosis, and others. It is also applicable for treating systemic fungal infections like aspergillosis, candidiasis, paracoccidioidomycosis, and cryptococcosis. It is particularly effective in patients with impaired immune function and those with cryptococcal infections in the central nervous system, used when first-line treatments are inappropriate or ineffective. It is also helpful in the maintenance therapy of cryptococcal meningitis in AIDS patients. This medication is used to effectively improve these various fungal infections.
