Precautions

This medication should not be administered to patients who have had an allergic reaction to this drug or any of its components. Patients with symptoms of orthostatic hypotension may experience worsening symptoms if they take this medication, so caution is necessary. Patients with severely impaired liver function may have increased blood concentrations of this medication, so its use should be avoided. It is safer for women who are pregnant or may become pregnant not to take this medication. Patients with severely impaired kidney function may also experience increased blood concentrations, so it should be administered with caution. Elderly patients may experience different effects and side effects from the medication, so caution is required when taking it. Patients taking other medications that lower blood pressure, PDE5 inhibitors, or CYP3A4 inhibitors should be cautious as there may be interactions with this drug. This medication lowers blood pressure, so the risk of orthostatic hypotension increases, particularly when taken along with alpha-1 blockers. Patients with a history of urinary syncope should also use this medication with caution. This medication contains Yellow No. 5 dye, so individuals allergic to this ingredient should be cautious. Side effects such as dizziness, headache, indigestion, diarrhea, and abdominal discomfort may occur, so if any unusual symptoms arise, consultation with a medical professional is advised. Severe dizziness or loss of consciousness may occur, so caution is necessary when performing high-risk tasks or driving. This medication can cause a drop in blood pressure, so care should be taken to avoid overdose. If sudden rashes, itching, hives, or other allergic symptoms occur while taking this medication, it should be stopped immediately and a doctor should be consulted. This medication should not be chewed or opened, and it must be taken as prescribed. Keep out of reach of children, and it is advisable not to transfer the medication to another container. Safety and efficacy have not been established in women who are pregnant or breastfeeding, as well as in children under 18 years of age, so it should not be administered to these groups. It is important to confirm the absence of prostate cancer before administering this medication, as its symptoms can resemble those of prostatic hyperplasia. Serious side effects such as priapism may occur rarely, so if such symptoms develop, notify a healthcare professional immediately. During the use of this medication, follow medical advice considering possible interactions with blood pressure-lowering agents or other drugs.
