(Improvement of hypertension, heart failure) and treatment effect for hypercholesterolemia
This medication is used for patients who need to take both valsartan and rosuvastatin simultaneously. Valsartan is used to treat essential hypertension, heart failure, particularly in heart failure patients intolerant to ACE inhibitors, and to reduce the risk of death after myocardial infarction. Rosuvastatin helps in cholesterol control in patients with hypercholesterolemia and mixed hyperlipidemia, delays the progression of atherosclerosis, and reduces the risk of cardiovascular disease. It is particularly effective in reducing the risk of stroke, myocardial infarction, and revascularization in patients with high sensitive C-reactive protein levels. Therefore, this medication improves the management of hypertension and hyperlipidemia, and reduces the risk of cardiovascular disease.
This medication is administered only to adults. ◆ Valsartan 1. Essential Hypertension - Take with water during meals or between meals. - It is recommended to take it at the same time every day (e.g., morning). - The recommended oral dose is 80 mg once daily. - If blood pressure is not well controlled, the dose can be increased to 160 mg once daily or combined with diuretics. - If necessary, the dose can be increased to a maximum of 320 mg once daily.
Safety and efficacy have not been established in pediatric patients under 18 years of age. Therefore, do not administer this medication.
This medication can cause severe harm to the fetus if taken during pregnancy, especially in the second and third trimesters, so it should be discontinued immediately upon confirmation of pregnancy. It is advisable for pregnant or nursing women, as well as women of childbearing potential, not to use this medication. If necessary, adequate counseling and proper contraception are required. Patients with severe liver impairment or certain kidney diseases and muscle disorders should not use this medication, and caution is needed in patients with mild liver or kidney dysfunction. Elderly patients, patients with high serum potassium levels, or those at risk of rapid blood pressure drop should also exercise caution when taking this medication. This medication can cause side effects such as myalgia, muscle weakness, and rarely severe muscle damage, so patients should consult a doctor immediately if they experience muscle-related symptoms. Regular checks may be needed due to possible changes in liver function or blood test results. This medication may interact with other drugs, so patients should inform their physician, especially when taking potassium-sparing diuretics, certain antibiotics, or other lipid-lowering medications. Dizziness or blood pressure drops may occur during treatment, so caution is advised when driving or operating machinery. Pregnant women must have appropriate contraception as this medication can inhibit cholesterol synthesis imperative for fetal development, and it must be discontinued immediately upon confirmation of pregnancy. Safety and efficacy have not been established in children and adolescents, so it is best not to use this medication in this age group. In cases of overdose, patients should visit a medical institution immediately for proper treatment, as blood dialysis may be ineffective. Ensure that it is stored out of children's reach and that the container is not changed.

This medication is sensitive to light, so it must be stored in a container that does not allow light to penetrate. Additionally, it is recommended to store the medication at room temperature, avoiding extremes of heat or cold, ideally between 1 degree and 30 degrees Celsius.
