Precautions

This medication contains the ingredient pseudoephedrine, which can rarely cause serious skin reactions such as acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis. If symptoms such as fever, red spots, or multiple small blisters appear, stop taking this medicine immediately and consult a doctor or pharmacist. This medicine should not be used by individuals currently taking, or who have recently discontinued use of, a monoamine oxidase inhibitor within the past 2 weeks. If you are unsure whether any medication you are currently taking contains this ingredient, be sure to consult a doctor or pharmacist. Patients with severe or uncontrolled hypertension and those with very poor kidney function should not take this medication. If you have heart disease, hypertension, thyroid problems, diabetes, glaucoma, asthma, or chronic bronchitis, consult a healthcare professional before taking this medication. Additionally, individuals taking sedatives or tranquilizers should also consult first before using this medication. Care should be taken not to exceed the recommended dosage, especially in children, as this medication may cause excitability. It can cause drowsiness; taking it with sedatives or tranquilizers may increase drowsiness. If symptoms of anxiety, dizziness, or insomnia occur, stop taking it immediately and consult a healthcare professional. If the serious skin reactions mentioned above occur, stop taking the medication and inform a doctor or pharmacist. If symptoms do not improve within 7 days or if the fever persists, stop taking the medication and consult a healthcare professional. If sore throat persists for more than 2 days or if symptoms such as headache, fever, rash, nausea, or vomiting occur, stop taking this medication and consult a doctor or pharmacist. If symptoms related to pseudoephedrine such as acute abdominal pain or rectal bleeding occur, stop taking the medication immediately. Sudden severe headache, confusion, seizures, or vision disturbances warrant immediate cessation of the medication and consultation with medical personnel. If an overdose occurs, seek immediate medical assistance even if no symptoms are present. This medication should not be used in children under 2 years of age; if absolutely necessary, a doctor's consultation is required. Finally, this medication must be stored out of reach of children in a safe place, and should be kept in its original container to prevent misuse or degradation of quality.
