Precautions

This medication should not be taken by patients with acute abdominal conditions or intestinal obstruction. Additionally, people with a genetic predisposition to lactose intolerance should not take this medication. When taking this medication, it is advisable not to consume antacids or milk within 1 hour of taking it. Patients experiencing severe abdominal pain, nausea, or vomiting symptoms, or women who are pregnant or may be pregnant should consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication. It is also necessary to consult a professional if other medications are being taken or if there is a history of allergic reactions, rectal bleeding, or intestinal failure. This medication contains a dye called Yellow No. 4, so individuals with an allergy to this component should use caution. If symptoms such as rash, redness, itching, severe abdominal pain, diarrhea, or vomiting occur after taking, discontinue use immediately and consult a professional. If abdominal discomfort or cramps occur or if constipation does not improve after 1 week of use, stop taking the medication and seek medical advice. Be sure to adhere to the prescribed dosage and frequency, and children under 10 years old should not take it unless in special circumstances. Furthermore, do not chew the tablets; swallow them whole, and avoid long-term use beyond 1 week, as this may lead to tolerance to the medication and worsened constipation. If continuously needing laxatives daily, it is important to investigate the cause of the constipation. Store this medication out of reach of children and keep it in a tightly sealed container in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Also, to prevent misuse and maintain quality, do not transfer it to another container.
