Precautions

This medication should not be used by patients with allergies to certain components. Due to lactose content, individuals with genetic disorders that cause lactose intolerance should not take this medication. Patients allergic to soy oil, soybeans, peanuts, or those who have experienced hypersensitivity should also avoid this medication. Patients with a history of hypersensitivity to the drug, problems with liver or kidney function, those undergoing dialysis, elderly patients, and patients with abnormal lipid metabolism should exercise special caution when using this medication. Severe allergic reactions or shock symptoms may occur while taking this medication, so if symptoms such as facial pallor, low blood pressure, or difficulty breathing occur, it is important to stop taking the medication immediately and seek medical attention. It may affect liver function, so liver function test results should be periodically monitored; if liver function abnormalities are detected, discontinue the medication and seek appropriate treatment. Severe blood disorders such as agranulocytosis or thrombocytopenia may occur, leading to symptoms like pharyngitis, fatigue, or fever; consulting a physician is advised if these symptoms arise. Other reported side effects include seizures, skin rashes, and heart rhythm abnormalities, so it's important to closely monitor overall health. Various side effects have been reported in clinical trials and post-marketing studies across gastrointestinal, central nervous, and cardiovascular systems, so notify healthcare professionals of any unusual symptoms. If symptoms suggesting malignant tumors occur or if a gastric ulcer is present, it is important to test for the possibility of malignant tumors, and if diagnosed with malignant gastric cancer, the use of this medication should be discontinued. During treatment, closely observe the condition of the disease, avoid prolonged unnecessary use, and switch to other treatments if there is no effect. Especially in patients with lipid metabolism issues or at risk for lipid overload, blood lipid levels should be regularly checked to adjust medication dosage. Elderly patients may have reduced physical function, so dosage and intervals should be adjusted and closely monitored. For patients undergoing dialysis with reduced kidney function, medication levels may increase, necessitating cautious initial dosing. Pregnant women or those who may become pregnant should only take this medication if the benefits outweigh the risks, as determined by a physician, and nursing women are advised against taking this medication. The safety in children has not been sufficiently confirmed, so it is preferable not to use it in pediatric patients. This medication should be stored out of reach of children and kept in its original container to prevent misuse or quality deterioration. Carcinogenicity was not found in animal experiments; however, hyperplasia of endocrine neurocytes was observed at high doses, and some side effects emerged in reproductive and developmental toxicity tests, but no malformations were noted.
