If rash, urticaria, swelling of the face or extremities, or severe itchiness occurs while using this medication, use should be stopped immediately, and medical attention should be sought. Occasionally, neurological symptoms such as drowsiness, fatigue, headache, dizziness, insomnia, and nightmares may occur, so caution is needed while driving or operating machinery. Gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, heartburn, dry mouth, abdominal pain, diarrhea, and constipation may occur rarely. Symptoms indicating abnormal liver function or jaundice may appear, so liver function should be monitored regularly; medication should be stopped immediately if abnormal symptoms occur. Since this medication can affect kidney function, proteinuria may occur, and urinary symptoms such as increased frequency of urination, hematuria, and urinary retention may occur rarely, requiring caution. Cardiovascular and respiratory symptoms such as palpitations and dyspnea have been reported rarely. Hemiatopoietic abnormalities such as thrombocytopenia or leukocytosis may occur, requiring regular blood tests. Hormonal-related symptoms such as gynecomastia, menstrual irregularities, and chest pain may also occur rarely. This medication is not an immediate relief for asthma attacks, so sufficient explanation is necessary for asthma patients. When using this medication during long-term steroid treatment, the steroid dosage should be gradually reduced, and this should only be done under medical supervision. This medication can cause drowsiness, so caution is required when driving or operating dangerous machinery. If there is no effect, it is advisable not to continue taking the medication for an extended period. For seasonal allergy sufferers, it is preferable to take the medication before symptoms onset and continue during the symptom duration. This medication has few interactions with other drugs and is generally safe to use with most medications; however, caution is necessary due to limited clinical experience. Pregnant women or those who may become pregnant should consult a physician before use since the safety of this medication is not established; it should only be used when necessary. Nursing mothers should avoid using this medication if possible, as it can be excreted in breast milk, and if necessary, breastfeeding should be discontinued. Safety in children, especially low-birth-weight infants, neonates, and young children, has not been adequately established, so use should be approached with caution. Elderly patients may have decreased liver and kidney function, increasing the risk of adverse reactions; therefore, their condition should be monitored regularly, and dosages adjusted as needed. In case of overdose, heart rhythm abnormalities may occur, so it is essential to visit a medical institution immediately for appropriate treatment. This medication must be stored out of the reach of children and should not be transferred to other containers, as it may compromise quality.
