If blood pressure is not adequately controlled, adjust the dosage of Amlodipine or Valsartan monotherapy first, and then prescribe dosages of 5/80 mg, 5/160 mg, or 10/160 mg. For patients with renal impairment, dosage adjustment may not be necessary for mild to moderate renal impairment (creatinine clearance above 10 mL/min). However, this medication should not be administered to patients with severe renal impairment (creatinine clearance below 10 mL/min) or those on dialysis.
Child dose
Safety and efficacy in pediatric patients under 18 years have not been established, and therefore the administration of this medication is not recommended.

This medication helps effectively control blood pressure for patients with essential hypertension who have difficulty achieving blood pressure control with monotherapy of Amlodipine or Valsartan. It is used to manage blood pressure stably, thereby reducing the risk of cardiovascular diseases.

How to take

Adult dose

Take 1 tablet once daily, with or without food, preferably at the same time each day (e.g., in the morning). If blood pressure is not adequately controlled, adjust the dosage of Amlodipine or Valsartan monotherapy first, and then prescribe dosages of 5/80 mg, 5/160 mg, or 10/160 mg. For patients with renal impairment, dosage adjustment may not be necessary for mild to moderate renal impairment (creatinine clearance above 10 mL/min). However, this medication should not be administered to patients with severe renal impairment (creatinine clearance below 10 mL/min) or those on dialysis.

Child dose

Safety and efficacy in pediatric patients under 18 years have not been established, and therefore the administration of this medication is not recommended.

Precautions

This medication may cause serious harm to the fetus and newborn if taken during the second and third trimesters of pregnancy; therefore, it must be discontinued immediately upon confirmation of pregnancy. Patients with hypersensitivity to any component of this drug, pregnant or nursing women, patients with severe renal or hepatic impairment, and those with specific vascular or cardiac diseases should not take this medication. Caution is particularly needed for patients with sodium or fluid depletion, hyperkalemia, or kidney issues, and blood pressure, renal function, and electrolyte status should be regularly monitored. This drug may cause various side effects such as headache, dizziness, swelling, hypotension, cough, and skin rash; if any unusual symptoms occur, consult a doctor immediately. Be cautious when driving or operating machinery as dizziness or fatigue may occur. Using this medication with other antihypertensive drugs, potassium supplements, diuretics, or certain anti-inflammatory drugs may result in interactions; it is imperative to inform your doctor of any other medications being taken. Women who are pregnant or planning a pregnancy should avoid this medication, and nursing women should also prefer to avoid its use. Safety and efficacy in children under 18 years have not been adequately established; hence its use is not recommended. Overdosage can cause severe hypotension or cardiac issues; thus, adhere to the prescribed dosage and seek immediate medical attention if unusual symptoms arise.

Hives, severe swelling (edema), chest tightness, difficulty breathing, cold sweat, pallor, severe rash with fever, blisters, skin shedding, painful oral/ocular mucous membranes, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, asthma attack, respiratory abnormalities with cough and fever, jaundice (yellowing of the skin or eyes), profound malaise, sudden and extremely severe headache, lightning headache, seizures, confusion, visual disturbances, paralysis, urination problems.
