This medication is used in patients at high risk for cardiovascular diseases who need to take both telmisartan and rosuvastatin simultaneously. Telmisartan helps to treat essential hypertension and reduce the risk of myocardial infarction, stroke, and cardiovascular mortality in patients at high risk for cardiovascular diseases. Rosuvastatin manages lipid disorders such as primary hypercholesterolemia and mixed dyslipidemia, and has the effect of slowing the progression of atherosclerosis. Additionally, it is used to reduce the risk of stroke, myocardial infarction, and arterial revascularization in high-risk cardiovascular patients with elevated high-sensitivity C-reactive protein levels. Therefore, this drug is effective for the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases in patients with both hypertension and lipid disorders.
