Adult dose
Telmisartan: For adult essential hypertension, it is recommended to take 40mg orally once daily; in some patients, 20mg once daily may be effective, and if necessary, it can be increased to a maximum of 80mg once daily. For the purpose of reducing cardiovascular disease risk, it is recommended to take 80mg orally once daily. Caution should be exercised to not exceed 40mg once daily in patients with liver dysfunction. Rosuvastatin Calcium: For the treatment of primary hypercholesterolemia, among other uses, take 5mg once daily as the initial dose, and if further LDL cholesterol reduction is needed, the maintenance dose can be adjusted. This medication is used for patients who require co-administration of the two drugs Telmisartan and Rosuvastatin. Telmisartan is effective in reducing the risk of myocardial infarction, stroke, and mortality in patients with essential hypertension and those at high risk for cardiovascular disease. Rosuvastatin is used as an adjunct to diet in patients with hypercholesterolemia and dyslipidemia, lowering total cholesterol and LDL cholesterol levels, thus delaying the progression of atherosclerosis. Additionally, it helps reduce the risk of stroke, myocardial infarction, and arterial revascularization in high-risk groups with chronic cardiovascular disease. By using these two drugs together, it effectively manages hypertension and hyperlipidemia, reducing the risk of cardiovascular diseases.
