(Hypertension, cardiovascular disease risk) reduction and (hypercholesterolemia) improvement effect
This medication is used for patients who require simultaneous administration of Telmisartan and Rosuvastatin. Telmisartan aids in treating essential hypertension and reducing the risk of cardiovascular diseases. It particularly plays a role in reducing the risk of myocardial infarction, stroke, and cardiovascular mortality in high-risk patients. Rosuvastatin Calcium is used as an adjunct for managing hypercholesterolemia and dyslipidemia when dietary control and exercise are insufficient. It also helps reduce the risk of stroke, myocardial infarction, and arterial revascularization in patients with cardiovascular disease risk factors. Therefore, this medication is used to prevent cardiovascular complications in patients with both hypertension and dyslipidemia.
Telmisartan: For essential hypertension in adults, the recommended dosage is 40 mg orally once daily, which may be effective at 20 mg depending on the patient. If necessary, it can be increased up to 80 mg. For reducing cardiovascular disease risk, 80 mg orally once daily is recommended. Patients with liver impairment should not exceed 40 mg once daily. Rosuvastatin Calcium: For primary hypercholesterolemia, the initial dosage is 5 mg once daily.
