Precautions

This drug can cause serious harm or death to the fetus and newborn when taken during pregnancy, especially in the second and third trimesters, so it should be discontinued immediately if pregnancy is confirmed. This drug should not be used in women with a history of allergic reactions, those who are pregnant or may become pregnant, patients with severe liver or kidney disorders, and certain hereditary angioedema patients. Elderly patients or those with hyperkalemia, mild to moderate liver disorders, valvular heart disease, or ischemic heart disease should use this drug with caution, and watch for hypotension or changes in renal function. While taking this drug, side effects such as headache, dizziness, fatigue, cough, diarrhea, and nausea may occur, and rarely, serious adverse reactions such as angioedema, hepatitis, renal failure, or hypoglycemia may develop, so if symptoms appear, medical consultation should be sought immediately. This drug can cause a rapid drop in blood pressure; if hypotension is experienced, it should be stopped immediately, and appropriate treatment should be received, particularly in patients undergoing dialysis or taking diuretics. Due to the risk of hyperkalemia, serum potassium levels should be frequently monitored when used alongside potassium supplements or potassium-sparing diuretics. When taken with other antihypertensives or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), the hypotensive effect may be reduced or renal function may be affected, so consultation with a healthcare professional is recommended. Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding are advised not to use this drug, and if it must be taken while breastfeeding, discontinuation of breastfeeding is preferable. Safety has not been established in children and adolescents; therefore, use is not recommended. In case of overdose, severe hypotension, decreased consciousness, shock, etc., may occur, so immediate medical attention should be sought. This drug should be stored out of reach of children, and it is safer not to transfer it to another container.
