Treatment of skin and nail fungus infections
This medication is used for the treatment of dermatophyte infections and onychomycosis in adults, including athlete's foot, body ringworm, and groin ringworm. It is also effective for treating tinea capitis in children.
Administer 125 mg for each dose, twice daily, or 250 mg for each dose, once daily. For dermatophytosis: - Athlete's foot (interdigital form, plantar type/moccasin type): 2 to 6 weeks - Body ringworm: 2 to 4 weeks - Groin ringworm: 2 to 4 weeks For onychomycosis, treatment duration is typically from 6 weeks to 3 months. If the infection is on a fingernail or a relatively small toe, or in younger patients, the treatment period may be reduced to less than 3 months. Generally, 3 months is sufficient for nail infections, but some patients may take 6 months or more. If the growth rate of the nail is slow, the treatment period may be extended.
Administer to children aged 2 years and older. Not recommended for those under 2 years due to lack of experience in administration. Tinea capitis typically occurs in children and is treated for 4 weeks. The dosage based on body weight is as follows: - Weight
This drug should not be used in patients with chronic liver disease or active liver disease. Before taking this medication, it is essential to check liver health and perform regular liver function tests. If liver function levels increase during treatment, discontinue the medication immediately. If symptoms such as nausea, loss of appetite, fatigue, vomiting, pain in the upper right abdomen, jaundice of the skin or eyes, dark urine, or oily stools occur, inform a doctor immediately. This medication may cause serious problems with liver function, so careful monitoring is required. Patients allergic to this drug, or those with blood disorders, severe kidney dysfunction, children under 2 years old, and breastfeeding women should not take this drug. Patients with certain genetic disorders such as lactose intolerance should also avoid this medication. Patients with weak kidney function, elderly patients, and underweight children should use this medication with caution, and if severe rash or allergic reactions occur, discontinue use immediately. This medication can worsen symptoms in patients with skin diseases, so caution is necessary. During treatment, regular blood tests should be conducted in addition to monitoring liver function, and consult a doctor immediately if abnormal symptoms occur. This drug can cause side effects such as gastrointestinal disorders, headaches, taste disturbances, muscle pain, dizziness, and rashes, so inform your doctor if symptoms are severe. Be cautious when driving or operating machinery if experiencing dizziness. There may be interactions with other medications, so if you are taking other drugs, inform your doctor or pharmacist. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should carefully consider the risks and benefits of using this drug, and breastfeeding women should discontinue nursing while taking this medication. Children and elderly individuals require special attention when taking this medication. In case of overdose, symptoms such as headache, nausea, abdominal pain, and dizziness may occur, and immediate medical assistance should be sought. Store this medication out of reach of children and avoid direct sunlight, keeping it at room temperature.

This medication may be sensitive to air or moisture, so it should be stored in a tightly sealed container. It is best to keep the storage temperature between 1 degree and 30 degrees Celsius to maintain its effectiveness safely.
