This medicine is used to improve the symptoms of difficulty in expectoration in patients with acute and chronic bronchitis, bronchial asthma, laryngitis, sinusitis, and cystic fibrosis.

How to take

Adult dose

Acute disease: 200 mg once, three times a day Chronic disease: 200 mg once, twice a day

Child dose

Acute disease (ages 6-14): 200 mg once, twice a day Chronic disease (ages 6-14): 100 mg once, three times a day Cystic fibrosis (aged 6 and over): 200 mg once, three times a day

Precautions

This medication should not be taken by anyone who has an allergic reaction to this drug or its components, or who has ulcers in the stomach or duodenum. Additionally, children under 2 years old should not take this medication. This product contains lactose and should not be taken by individuals with genetic disorders that prevent the digestion of lactose. Women who are pregnant or potentially pregnant should consult a physician before taking this medication and should only use it when absolutely necessary. Nursing mothers should also consult an expert before taking this medication as it is unclear if this medication passes into breast milk. If gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, inflammation of the mouth, heartburn, or diarrhea occur during use, the medication should be stopped immediately and a doctor consulted. Additionally, anyone experiencing hives, itching, rash, headache, ringing in the ears, or asthma patients experiencing shortness of breath or constriction of the airways should consult an expert immediately. If there is a rapid heartbeat or high blood pressure, the medication should also be stopped and medical help sought. There have been rare reports of difficulty in breathing associated with this medication, so caution is required. If taken with antibiotics, the effectiveness of the antibiotics may be reduced, so at least a 2-hour interval should be observed. Avoid mixing this medication's solution with other drugs. This product must be kept out of the reach of children and stored in its original container to maintain quality.
