Relief of moderate to severe acute and chronic pain
This medication is used to effectively relieve acute and chronic pain ranging from moderate to severe.
It is recommended to take 1 tablet as an initial dose, and the interval between doses should be at least 12 hours thereafter, not exceeding 4 tablets per day. Ensure that the medication is not taken longer than necessary, and if due to the nature of the disease and severity, long-term use is required, regular monitoring should be conducted to review the continuity of this medication. Elderly patients should typically receive the standard adult dosage, but for those aged 75 and above,
This medication may put stress on the liver, so individuals who consume alcohol excessively should consult a physician or pharmacist before use. Due to the acetaminophen component, severe skin reactions may rarely occur, so if a rash or allergic symptoms appear, discontinue use immediately. Since the tramadol component can induce seizures, individuals with a history of seizures or those at risk of seizures should use it cautiously. Additionally, the risk of seizures may increase when taken with certain antidepressants or other central nervous system medications, so consultation with a specialist is necessary. Patients with severe respiratory disease face a risk of respiratory depression while taking this medication; it should be used in an environment where healthcare providers can monitor effectively. Using this medication with alcohol or benzodiazepines can lead to severe drowsiness, respiratory depression, or coma, so caution is needed. Patients with brain injuries or elevated intracranial pressure may experience exacerbated symptoms while taking this medication, so it should be used cautiously. The tramadol component can lead to addiction and dependence, so long-term use should be under a physician’s guidance. Patients with compromised liver function face a risk of liver damage due to the acetaminophen component, thus they must consult a physician before use. Especially, individuals with certain genotypes may metabolize the medication rapidly, increasing the risk of respiratory depression, so caution is warranted. This medication should not be administered to children under 12 or to adolescents under 18 post-tonsillectomy, and it is better to avoid it in high-risk adolescents. There is a possibility of hyponatremia, so elderly patients or those at risk of hyponatremia should be closely monitored for symptoms. Individuals with hypersensitivity, severe respiratory depression, head injuries, or those taking certain medications should not use this medication. Patients with severe liver or kidney dysfunction, nursing mothers, and certain asthma patients are also prohibited from taking this medication. Drowsiness and dizziness may occur while taking this medication, so it is safer to avoid driving or operating dangerous machinery. In cases of overdose, serious respiratory depression, liver damage, etc. may occur, so the prescribed dosage must be adhered to, and if any abnormal symptoms appear, contact a medical institution immediately. This medication has many interactions with other drugs, so if you are taking any other medications, you must inform your healthcare provider. Pregnant or nursing women should consult a physician before using this medication, as it may affect the fetus or baby. Elderly patients should exercise caution as they may be more affected by the medication due to decreased liver and kidney function.
