Improvement of symptoms and walking ability in lumbar spinal stenosis, and ischemic symptoms of Buerger's disease
This medication helps in alleviating ischemic symptoms such as ulcers, pain, and coldness caused by obstructive thromboangiitis, also known as Buerger's disease. It is also used to improve leg pain and numbness symptoms, as well as walking ability in patients with acquired lumbar spinal stenosis.
1. For improvement of ischemic symptoms such as ulcers, pain, and coldness caused by thromboangiitis obliterans (Buerger's disease), the usual adult dose is 2 tablets orally 3 times daily. 2. For improvement of subjective symptoms (lower limb pain and numbness) and walking ability caused by acquired lumbar spinal stenosis (in patients with a normal SLR test and bilateral intermittent claudication), the usual adult dose is 1 tablet orally 3 times daily. Adjust the dose as appropriate according to age and symptoms.
This medication should not be used in women who are pregnant or may become pregnant. Additionally, it contains lactose and should not be taken by individuals with genetic issues such as galactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption. Caution should be exercised when administering to patients at risk of bleeding or taking medications that may induce bleeding. When using this medication, hypersensitivity reactions, such as skin rashes or itching, may occur; if such symptoms arise, discontinue use and consult a physician. Bleeding can occur infrequently, and if abnormal symptoms appear, stop taking the medication immediately and inform medical personnel. Gastrointestinal side effects may include diarrhea, nausea, abdominal pain, loss of appetite, and heartburn; vomiting or abdominal distension may occur infrequently. Liver function abnormalities may occur, necessitating liver function tests. Symptoms such as rapid heart rate or cyanosis of the extremities, hypotension may occur. Rarely reported symptoms include headache, facial flushing, dizziness, warmth, body weakness, edema, glandular swelling, tremors, hirsutism, and anemia. Patients with lumbar spinal stenosis should monitor changes in symptoms and decide whether to continue medication, as its effects may be uncertain in severe cases that require surgery. Safety during pregnancy has not been established, and animal studies have indicated uterine contractions, thus pregnant women should avoid use. Safety in children has not yet been established, and there is no experience of use. Elderly patients may have declining bodily functions, so dosage adjustments and caution are required.
Not everyone experiences these, and they can vary from person to person.
