Summary

Main use
Relief of moderate to severe acute and chronic pain
Who takes it
Adults · Children
Adult dose
Children and adults over 12 years: The dosage should be adjusted according to the level of pain and treatment response. A loading dose of 4 tablets is recommended, and the interval between doses should be at least 6 hours; however, not exceed 16 tablets in a day. Administer the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration possible. Do not administer this medication for longer than necessary, and if long-term use is required due to the nature and severity of the illness, regular monitoring should occur to confirm whether to continue this medication. Elderly Administer the usual adult dosage. However, for elderly patients over 75 years, the half-life of tramadol may increase by 17% when taken orally, so doses should be administered at least every 6 hours. Renal Impaired Patients In moderate renal impairment (creatinine clearance of 10-30 mL/min), extend the dosing interval to 12 hours. In severe renal impairment (creatinine clearance of less than 10 mL/min), use of this medication is not recommended. Tramadol is eliminated very gradually during hemodialysis and filtration, and there is no need to readminister this medication after dialysis to maintain analgesia. Hepatic Impaired Patients For moderate hepatic impairment, consider extending the dosing interval with caution. Do not administer this medication to those with severe hepatic impairment.
