Treatment of skin and nail fungal infections, mucosal and corneal fungal infections, and systemic fungal infections
This medication is used to treat various fungal infections such as candidal vaginitis, tinea, various types of ringworm occurring on the skin and nails, oral candidiasis, fungal keratitis, and onychomycosis. It is also used for the treatment of systemic fungal infections like aspergillosis, candidiasis, paracoccidioidomycosis, and cryptococcosis (especially in immunocompromised patients and those with central nervous system infections). In particular, for patients with cryptococcal meningitis when first-line therapy is ineffective, it is applied for treatment and maintenance therapy in AIDS patients. It acts effectively against these various fungal infections, improving the patient's condition.
