This medicine should be taken before meals. For patients who have difficulty swallowing the medicine, open the capsule, mix the contents with a small amount (60 mL) of orange juice or tomato juice, and administer immediately. To ensure the entire dose is taken, rinse the glass with twice the amount of juice or more and drink immediately. After opening, this medicine must not be chewed, crushed, or taken. Short-term treatment of active duodenal ulcers: Administer lansoprazole 15 mg orally once daily for 4 weeks. Short-term treatment of active benign gastric ulcers: Administer lansoprazole 30 mg orally once daily for 8 weeks. Eradication of Helicobacter pylori to prevent recurrence of duodenal ulcers 1) Administer lansoprazole 30 mg with clarithromycin 250 ∼ 500 mg and amoxicillin 1,000 mg twice daily (every 12 hours) for 7 days. Treatment may be extended to 14 days if necessary. 2) Administer lansoprazole 30 mg with amoxicillin 1,000 mg three times daily (every 8 hours) for 14 days. Maintenance therapy after treatment of duodenal ulcers: Administer lansoprazole 15 mg orally once daily. The duration of comparative clinical trials did not exceed 12 months. Treatment of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug-induced gastric ulcers: Administer lansoprazole 30 mg orally once daily for 8 weeks. The duration of comparative clinical trials did not exceed 8 weeks. Reduction in the risk of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug-induced gastric ulcers: Administer lansoprazole 15 mg orally once daily for 12 weeks. The duration of comparative clinical trials did not exceed 12 weeks. Short-term treatment of symptoms associated with gastroesophageal reflux disease Administer lansoprazole 15 mg orally once daily for 8 weeks Short-term treatment of erosive reflux esophagitis: Administer lansoprazole 30 mg orally once daily for 8 weeks. Maintenance therapy after treatment of erosive reflux esophagitis: Administer lansoprazole 15 mg orally once daily. Pathological hypersecretory conditions, including Zollinger-Ellison syndrome The dosage of lansoprazole for pathological hypersecretory conditions varies by patient. Treatment in adults is usually initiated at 60 mg once daily. The dose should be adjusted according to the patient's needs and may be continued as long as it is clinically effective. Doses of 90 mg per administration have been given up to twice daily. If the daily dose exceeds 120 mg, it should be divided. Because clearance of this medicine is reduced in elderly patients, dosage adjustment is necessary. Do not exceed a daily dose of 30 mg. Since metabolism and excretion of this medicine may be delayed in patients with hepatic impairment, administer with caution, including consideration of dosage adjustment.
Child dose
Children and adolescents aged 12 ∼ 17 years, short-term treatment of symptoms associated with nonerosive gastroesophageal reflux disease: 15 mg once daily for 8 weeks Children and adolescents aged 12 ∼ 17 years, short-term treatment of erosive reflux esophagitis: 30 mg once daily for 8 weeks Children aged 1 ∼ 11 years, 30 kg or less: 15 mg once daily for 12 weeks Children aged 1 ∼ 11 years, over 30 kg: 30 mg once daily for 12 weeks

Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients who are allergic to certain components or benzimidazoles, or who have previously experienced a severe allergic reaction. Patients who have allergies to penicillin or macrolide antibiotics should also exercise caution. It is advisable for pregnant and breastfeeding women not to take this medication, and to consult with a professional if necessary. Administration should be cautious in patients with compromised liver function, elderly patients, children, or patients with a history of drug allergies. During the use of this medication, rare severe allergic reactions, blood abnormalities, liver dysfunction, and skin diseases may occur, so any unusual symptoms should be reported to a healthcare provider immediately. Long-term use may lead to nutritional deficiencies such as vitamin B12 deficiency or hypomagnesemia, thus regular checks are necessary. This medication suppresses gastric acid secretion and may affect the absorption of some drugs, so it is essential to consult with a physician or pharmacist when taking other medications, particularly HIV treatments, anticoagulants, and certain antibiotics. Additionally, this medication may slightly increase the risk of gastrointestinal bacterial infections, so if diarrhea or other gastrointestinal symptoms persist, a healthcare provider should be informed immediately. Dizziness, drowsiness, or visual disturbances may occur, so caution is advised when driving or operating machinery. In case of overdose, seek immediate medical attention; this medication is not removed by dialysis. Store in a sealed container out of reach of children and avoid transferring to other containers. During use, it is safest to use the minimum dose and duration as directed by a physician.
