Relief of symptoms for allergic rhinitis, conjunctivitis (respiratory, eyes), dermatitis, and chronic urticaria (skin)
This medication is used to relieve allergic reactions such as allergic rhinitis, conjunctivitis, dermatitis, and chronic urticaria.
Adults and children aged 12 years and older should take 10mg of Evastin orally once daily. The dose may be adjusted as appropriate according to age and symptoms.
For children aged 6-11 years, administer 5mg once daily.
This medication contains lactose, which may cause hypersensitivity responses such as diarrhea in children or adolescents who are lactose intolerant. Patients with an allergy to this medication or those with severely impaired liver function should not use it. Patients with liver problems or those who have previously suffered from liver diseases should use this medication cautiously as it may worsen liver conditions. Additionally, precautions are required for patients taking medications or having conditions that can affect cardiac electrical activity. Taking this medication with certain antibiotics or antifungals that inhibit the enzymes that break down this medication in the liver may increase drug concentration, so consultation with a physician is necessary. Rarely, side effects such as rapid heartbeat, drowsiness, nervousness, headache, nausea, diarrhea may occur after taking this medication. Severe allergic reactions such as anaphylactic shock have also been reported, and if unusual symptoms occur, immediate consultation with healthcare professionals is recommended. Care should be taken when driving or operating machinery until personal reactions to this medication are known. This medication does not provide quick relief of allergy symptoms and is not suitable for emergencies. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should use this medication with caution as its safety has not been established, and breastfeeding mothers are advised to discontinue breastfeeding. Use by children under 6 years is not recommended due to unproven safety. This medication may affect allergy test results, so it should not be taken before tests. Though special toxic symptoms from overdose are rare, appropriate treatment based on symptoms and electrocardiogram monitoring may be necessary. Keep out of reach of children, and do not transfer to other containers to ensure safety and maintain quality.
