Precautions

This medicine should not be used by anyone who has an allergic reaction to this medicine or any of its components. Additionally, because this medicine contains lactose, individuals with genetic disorders such as galactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption should not take it. Caution is needed for those with liver disease or a history of liver disease, as the condition may worsen with use of this medicine. If any allergic reactions appear during use, such as rash, hives, itching, or swelling of the face or extremities, the use should be stopped immediately and a doctor consulted. Occasionally, nervous system symptoms such as drowsiness, fatigue, headache, dizziness, insomnia, nightmares, numbness, or a feeling of cloudy head may occur. Gastrointestinal side effects may include nausea, heartburn, dry mouth, abdominal pain, loss of appetite, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, and oral inflammation; if symptoms are severe, medical advice should be sought. There may be abnormalities in liver function or symptoms of jaundice, so liver function should be monitored regularly, and if any unusual symptoms arise, use should be discontinued. Rarely, renal function may be affected, potentially causing proteinuria; caution is warranted. Symptoms of cystitis such as frequent urination, hematuria, or difficulty urinating may occur, and if these symptoms arise, consultation with healthcare staff is necessary. Occasionally, symptoms of rapid heartbeat may occur, so caution is advised. Respiratory symptoms such as difficulty breathing, difficulty expelling sputum, or nasal congestion may rarely be observed. Blood-related side effects may include decreased platelet count or increased white blood cell count, and if unusual symptoms arise, immediate notification is required. Symptoms such as gynecomastia, breast enlargement, menstrual irregularities, facial flushing, or loss of taste may rarely occur. This medication does not provide rapid relief of asthma attacks, so this point should be explained adequately to asthma patients. Patients undergoing long-term steroid treatment should gradually reduce their steroid dosage when taking this medication and require medical supervision. This medicine can cause drowsiness, so caution is advised when driving or operating machinery. If ineffective, it is best not to take it for an extended period. In case of seasonal allergies, it is advisable to start taking it before symptoms begin and continue for the duration of the symptoms. While there is a low possibility of interactions when taken with other sleeping pills, antihistamines, or alcohol, caution is warranted due to a lack of clinical experience. Safety during pregnancy has not been established, so women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should consult a doctor and proceed with caution when taking this medication. Women who are nursing should avoid taking this medicine as it may be transferred to breast milk, or consider discontinuing breastfeeding. Safety in children, newborns, and infants has not been fully established, so caution is required when using. Elderly patients often have decreased liver and kidney function, so any abnormal reactions should be carefully monitored, and dosage adjustment or discontinuation may be necessary if symptoms arise. In cases of overdose, cardiac abnormalities such as arrhythmias may occur, so if symptoms are suspected, an ECG should be performed immediately at a hospital, and appropriate treatment like gastric lavage or diuresis should be carried out. Store in a safe place out of reach of children, and transferring to another container may pose risks of accidents and quality degradation, so caution is required. This medication's blood concentration may increase if taken on an empty stomach, so it is important to follow healthcare professionals' instructions regarding the timing and method of administration.
