Adult dosage
As terbinafine, administer 125 mg once or twice daily, or 250 mg once daily. The treatment duration varies by disease as follows: 1) Dermatophyte infections. This medication is used to treat various dermatophytoses caused by dermatophytes, such as tinea pedis, tinea corporis, and tinea capitis in adults. It is also used to treat tinea capitis in children.

Dosage and Administration

Adult dosage

As terbinafine, administer 125 mg once or twice daily, or 250 mg once daily. The treatment duration varies by disease as follows: 1) Dermatophyte infections. Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients with chronic liver disease or active liver disease. It is essential to check for any history of liver disease before using this medication. Liver function tests should be conducted before treatment and regularly monitored during treatment as liver function issues may arise. If liver function test results worsen, this medication should be discontinued immediately. If symptoms such as nausea, loss of appetite, fatigue, vomiting, upper right abdominal pain, jaundice, dark urine, or diarrhea occur while taking this medication, contact a doctor immediately. This medication can cause severe liver damage, such as liver failure, and should be discontinued if liver damage is suspected. Patients with allergies to this medication, blood disorders, severe renal failure, children under 2 years of age, and nursing mothers should not use this medication. Specifically, patients with lactose intolerance or certain genetic disorders should not take this medication. Caution is advised when using this medication in patients with reduced kidney function, elderly patients, and children weighing less than 20 kg. Rarely, severe skin reactions may occur, so if rashes or unusual symptoms develop, discontinue use immediately. This medication should only be used for treating fungal infections and should not be used if local treatment is possible. Dizziness and other symptoms may occur, so care should be taken when driving or operating machinery. Potential interactions may occur with other medications, so inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are currently taking any other medications.
