In severe or respiratory infections, the dose may be increased to 500 mg/125 mg. Precautions

This medication is a beta-lactam antibiotic and should not be administered to patients allergic to penicillin or cephalosporin drugs. In particular, patients who have experienced severe allergic reactions or skin mucosal abnormalities due to this drug or similar medications in the past may be at risk if they use this drug. It is advisable to avoid using this drug in patients with infectious mononucleosis or lymphocytic leukemia due to a higher risk of rash. Patients with a history of liver dysfunction should be cautious, as re-administration may lead to liver damage. Patients with liver dysfunction may experience worsened liver conditions when using this drug and should be administered with caution. Those with moderate-to-severe kidney impairment should adjust the dosing interval as the drug may remain in the body for an extended time. Patients with allergic constitution, especially those with bronchial asthma or frequent skin rashes, should take extra precautions when using this drug. Patients who have difficulty swallowing, elderly patients with poor nutritional status, and those with gastrointestinal symptoms may experience symptoms of vitamin K deficiency and should be careful. This drug may cause gastrointestinal discomfort, diarrhea, nausea, and vomiting; in severe cases, severe colitis such as pseudomembranous colitis may develop, necessitating immediate discontinuation of the medication and a visit to a medical facility. Elevated liver enzyme levels or rare symptoms of liver abnormalities such as hepatitis and jaundice may occur; therefore, regular liver function tests during treatment are crucial. Rarely, serious allergic reactions such as severe skin rash or anaphylactic shock may occur; if skin rash, shortness of breath, or swelling of the face or neck occurs, immediate cessation and emergency treatment are required. Blood tests may reveal leukopenia or thrombocytopenia, so regular blood tests are needed for prolonged use. Rare symptoms such as agitation, anxiety, confusion, or seizures may occur in the central nervous system, particularly in patients with poor kidney function or during high-dose administration. Kidney function should be monitored periodically, and administration should be stopped immediately if abnormalities are present due to the risk of worsened kidney function. Antibiotic use may reduce normal intestinal flora, leading to fungal infections such as candidiasis; consult healthcare professionals if symptoms arise. This drug may cause bleeding tendencies or vitamin B deficiency symptoms due to vitamin K deficiency, so be cautious if bleeding symptoms or inflammation of the tongue occurs. This drug should undergo susceptibility testing to prevent resistance and must be used for the minimum necessary duration; monitoring for possible side effects is necessary during long-term use. Patients with a history of hypersensitivity to penicillin or multiple allergies are at high risk for severe allergic reactions, so medical history must be verified before administration. Anaphylactic shock may occur, so patients should be observed in a stable condition and be prepared for emergencies after administration. If severe diarrhea or abdominal pain occurs during the use of this drug, the potential for pseudomembranous colitis exists, requiring immediate discontinuation of the medication and notification to healthcare providers. Elderly patients or those with poor liver function are at higher risk for liver damage, necessitating periodic liver function tests and additional caution with long-term use. It is advised to avoid use during the first three months of pregnancy, and consultation with a physician is crucial when using during pregnancy or lactation. Children, particularly those under 12 years of age or weighing less than 40 kg, are not recommended due to limited experience. Elderly patients are at higher risk for side effects due to decreased kidney and liver function, so careful dosing and intervals are necessary. This drug may affect the results of certain clinical tests such as glucose tests, so it is essential to inform the physician during testing. In case of overdose, symptoms such as vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, drowsiness, and hyperactivity may appear; in severe cases, seizures or kidney failure may occur, requiring immediate medical attention. Store this medication in a dry place at or below 25 degrees Celsius, avoiding exposure to direct sunlight or moisture.
