Dosage and Administration

Adult dosage

Apply to the affected area twice a day. Treatment should not exceed two weeks in duration. For localized lesions of moderate to severe psoriasis, if satisfactory improvement is not seen in the first two weeks, it may be used for an additional two weeks. The total quantity should not exceed 50g (50mL or 1.75oz) per week. Once the desired therapeutic effect is achieved, usage should be stopped. If there is no improvement after two weeks of treatment, a re-evaluation of the diagnosis may be necessary.

Precautions

This medicine should not be used in patients with skin infections caused by bacteria, fungi, viruses, or animals, as it may exacerbate symptoms. Do not use if there is a history of allergy or hypersensitivity to this medicine or its components. Avoid use in patients with eczema in the ear canal with perforated tympanic membranes as healing may be delayed. It is advisable not to use on areas with skin ulcers or severe burns or frostbites as skin regeneration may be delayed. This medicine should not be used in patients with scalp infections, perioral dermatitis, common acne, or rosacea (strawberry nose). It is also safe not to use this medicine in cases of itching in the anal or genital areas. This medicine should not be used in infants under 24 months. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant and nursing mothers should use this medicine cautiously, preferably applying it to minimal areas for the shortest duration necessary. Children, elderly individuals, and patients with liver dysfunction or diabetes should be particularly cautious when using this medicine. This medicine contains propylene glycol, so patients allergic to this ingredient should use it with caution. Using this medicine may lead to bacterial, fungal, or viral skin infections; if any signs of infection appear, use should be discontinued immediately and appropriate treatment should be sought. Various skin side effects may occur, including skin irritation, rash, itching, hives, dry skin, etc.; if symptoms are severe, usage should be stopped. Long-term use of this medicine may cause skin thinning or blood vessel dilation, so it may be necessary to gradually reduce the dosage and switch to another medication. Extensive or occlusive usage of this medicine over a long period may lead to systemic side effects like hormonal suppression, adrenal insufficiency, or Cushing's syndrome, so short-term use is recommended. When used around the eyes, there is a risk of increased intraocular pressure, glaucoma, or cataracts, so caution is necessary. In principle, this medicine should not be used for eczema or dermatitis accompanied by skin infections, and if an infection is present, it should be used in conjunction with antibacterial or antifungal medications; if infection worsens, usage should be stopped immediately. When this medicine is used extensively or under occlusion, it is recommended to check for side effects through blood cortisol level tests. As symptoms improve, use should be discontinued as soon as possible, and special care should be taken when applying it to the face, neck, genital area, or overlapping skin due to the higher risk of side effects. When used in psoriasis patients, close monitoring is necessary for recurrence, resistance, or severe skin reactions. If visual disturbances occur during the use of this medicine, consult a healthcare professional immediately and seek ophthalmological examination. Exceeding the recommended dose or long-term use may lead to serious infections or immune suppression, so caution is advised. For pregnant or nursing women, this medicine should be used only for minimal periods and areas, and nursing mothers should avoid direct application to the nipples or breasts. In children, absorption may be higher than in adults, increasing the risk of side effects, so long-term use should be avoided, and the necessity of weekly dosing evaluation is recommended. Not recommended for pediatric patients aged 18 years and under who are 24 months or older. In elderly patients, side effects may manifest more readily, so careful observation is required in cases of high doses and long-term use. In cases of excessive use, there is a risk of adrenal insufficiency; dosage should be gradually reduced or discontinued according to a physician's instructions. This medicine should not be used directly in the eyes, and when used on eyelids, care should be taken to avoid contact with the eyes. It should only be used for therapeutic purposes after cosmetics or shaving, and occlusive methods should not be used without a doctor's instructions. Ensure that the treatment area does not exceed 20% of the body surface area, and wash hands thoroughly after use. Keep out of the reach of children and store it in its original container to prevent misuse or deterioration of quality.
