This medication is used for acute and chronic respiratory diseases such as bronchitis, bronchial asthma, sinusitis, and rhinitis caused by airway obstruction and mucus secretion disorders. These conditions are accompanied by symptoms that make breathing difficult due to inflammation of the airways and excessive mucus secretion. This drug helps widen the airway passages and facilitate the clearance of mucus, improving breathing. Therefore, it is effective in alleviating respiratory symptoms and normalizing the patient's respiratory function. For these reasons, this medication is used in the treatment of acute and chronic respiratory diseases.

Respiratory issues or neurological symptoms have also been reported, so caution is required if unusual symptoms arise. This medication may be toxic if blood concentration increases, so elderly patients, those with liver or kidney dysfunction, alcoholics, and those with heart failure should be particularly careful. When used with other medications, attention must be paid to interactions. The blood concentration of this medication may change when used with some antibiotics, anticoagulants, diuretics, and neurological medications, so consultation with a professional is essential. Using it with central nervous system stimulants or other xanthine derivatives may result in excessive central nervous system stimulation, so it is best not to take them together. For the elderly and children, the dosage should be adjusted or used cautiously, considering their physical capabilities.
