This medication is used effectively to treat symptoms associated with vasomotor rhinitis, allergic rhinitis, and rhinitis due to the common cold. It alleviates uncomfortable symptoms such as nasal congestion, sneezing, and runny nose, helping to make breathing easier in daily life. By improving these rhinitis symptoms, it enhances the quality of life for patients.

Dosage and Administration

Adult dosage

Take 1 capsule once daily, and in severe cases, take 1 capsule twice daily. The duration of treatment is only for severe symptoms, and generally should not exceed 10 days for vasomotor or allergic rhinitis and 3 days for rhinitis related to colds without a doctor's instruction.

Children's dosage

Adolescents aged 12 years and older should take 1 capsule once daily.

Precautions

This medication contains pseudoephedrine, which may rarely cause serious skin reactions such as acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis, so if fever, skin rash, or small blisters occur during use, stop taking it immediately and consult a healthcare professional. People with hypersensitivity to this medication should not take it, and patients with narrow-angle glaucoma, difficulty urinating, severe hypertension, heart disease, hyperthyroidism, or those who have received specific antidepressant treatments should not take this medication. Patients with severely impaired liver function, children under 12 years old, pregnant women, and nursing mothers should also avoid using this medication. Individuals with specific genetic metabolic disorders such as lactose intolerance should avoid this medication due to its lactose content. Use this medication with caution if you have glaucoma, high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes, benign prostatic hyperplasia, liver dysfunction, or if you are elderly; patients at risk for QT interval prolongation should also be careful. While taking this medication, drowsiness or neurological symptoms, digestive issues, and due to the sympathomimetic components, dry mouth, insomnia, headache, and dizziness may occur. Additionally, if serious symptoms like ischemic colitis, reversible posterior leukoencephalopathy syndrome, or cerebrovascular constriction syndrome occur, stop taking it immediately. There may be interactions when combined with other antihistamines, certain antibiotics, or antifungal drugs, so be sure to inform your healthcare provider of any medications you are currently taking. Pregnant women should use this medication cautiously as its safety has not been established, and it's advised to avoid taking this medication while breastfeeding. In case of overdose, emergency treatment such as gastrointestinal lavage and monitoring of heart condition is required, so seek medical attention immediately. Finally, this medication should be kept out of reach of children and not transferred to other containers to maintain its quality and safety.
