Relief of inflammation and pain due to rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis
This medication is used to relieve inflammation and pain from chronic joint diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis. It also alleviates pain caused by tendinitis and acute gout. It is effective for dysmenorrhea, improving discomfort for women. Additionally, it helps relieve various pains such as bursitis, skeletal muscle disorders, postoperative pain, migraines, and post-extraction pain. Overall, it is used to reduce inflammation and pain in joints and muscles, improving the quality of life for patients.
1. Rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis: Administer 250-500 mg of naproxen orally, 2 times a day (every 12 hours). 2. Acute gout: Administer 750 mg orally as the initial dose and continue with 250 mg at 8-hour intervals until the attack subsides. 3. Skeletal muscle disorders, postoperative pain, post-extraction pain, dysmenorrhea, tendinitis, bursitis: Administer 500 mg orally as the initial dose, followed by 250 mg every 6-8 hours.
This medication should be discussed with a doctor or pharmacist if taken by individuals who regularly consume more than three alcoholic drinks a day, as this increases the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding. If there are cardiovascular diseases or risk factors, this drug may cause serious cardiovascular issues such as myocardial infarction or stroke, requiring caution. This medication may cause serious issues such as gastrointestinal bleeding, ulcers, and perforations, and the risk is higher among the elderly, who should be closely monitored for gastrointestinal symptoms during treatment. Patients with a history of peptic ulcer, severe blood disorders, liver dysfunction, heart failure, kidney disorders, hypertension, or hypersensitivity to this medication should not use it. Patients with a history of peptic ulcer, blood disorders, bleeding tendencies, liver dysfunction, kidney disorders, heart failure, hypertension, hypersensitivity, bronchial asthma, systemic lupus erythematosus should use this medication cautiously. If allergic reactions, gastrointestinal bleeding, abnormal liver or kidney function, blood disorders, skin rashes, or other unusual symptoms occur while taking this medication, stop taking it immediately and consult a doctor. This medication should be used at the lowest possible dose and for the shortest duration, and patients using it long-term should undergo regular blood tests and liver and kidney function tests. Using this medication with other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs or specific medications may increase the risk of side effects, so inform your doctor of any other medications you are taking. It should not be used during pregnancy, especially in the third trimester, as it may harm the fetus, and women who may become pregnant should use it cautiously. Breastfeeding women should avoid taking this medication because it can be passed into breast milk and affect the newborn. It is preferable not to administer this medication to children, especially infants under 2 years old, as safety has not been established, and elderly patients are at a higher risk of side effects and should be especially cautious. In case of overdose, symptoms might include drowsiness, indigestion, nausea, and vomiting, and immediate medical attention should be sought. This medication should be stored out of reach of children and not transferred to another container.

This medication should not be taken with other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and naproxen derivatives, aspirin, or high-dose methotrexate used in cancer therapy. Avoid co-administration with phenytoin, sulfa drugs, sulfonylurea antidiabetics, propranolol and other β-blockers, ACE inhibitors (such as captopril), loop diuretics, thiazide diuretics, probenecid, lithium, low-dose methotrexate, and coumarin anticoagulants.
This medication should be stored in a tightly sealed container to protect it from air and moisture, ideally at room temperature between 1°C and 30°C. Storing it this way helps maintain its effectiveness.
