This medication is used to treat pain caused by peripheral and central neuropathy in adults. It is also used as an adjunctive therapy for patients with epilepsy experiencing either secondary generalized symptoms or partial seizures. Lastly, it is utilized to alleviate symptoms in patients with fibromyalgia. It is effective for treating various neurological disorders and pain.

How to take

Adult dose

This medication is administered orally as pregabalin with a total daily dose divided into two doses regardless of food. 1. Neuropathic pain - Peripheral neuropathic pain: Starting dose of 150 mg daily can be increased to 300 mg daily after 3 to 7 days, and if necessary, can be escalated to a maximum of 600 mg daily at 7-day intervals. - Central neuropathic pain: Starting dose of 150 mg daily can be increased based on individual patient response and tolerability after a week to 300 mg daily.
