This medication is a corticosteroid used in the nasal cavity and helps alleviate allergic rhinitis or nasal inflammation. However, this drug should not be used in certain patients. For example, it should not be administered if there is an allergy to this medication or its ingredients, or if there is an untreated infection in the nasal mucosa. If you have had recent nasal surgery or have a wound on your nose, do not use this medication until the wound has completely healed. It is also not recommended for use in children under 2 years of age as safety has not been established. Care should be taken when using this medication in patients with respiratory tuberculosis, fungal infections, viral infections, or with herpes simplex in the eyes, and patients who experience frequent nosebleeds require caution. Patients at risk of exposure to chickenpox or measles, those with unilateral nasal polyps or polyps related to cystic fibrosis, and pregnant or breastfeeding women should also use this medication with caution. While using this medication, side effects such as headaches, nosebleeds, cough, pharyngitis, upper respiratory tract infections may occur, and in rare cases, severe allergic reactions or anaphylaxis may happen. Long-term use of high doses may result in systemic corticosteroid side effects, requiring caution. If a nasal infection occurs, discontinuation of the medication or appropriate treatment may be necessary, and regular check-ups to monitor changes in the nasal mucosa are recommended. This medication may interact with other drugs, especially when used concurrently with CYP3A4 inhibitors, which may increase the risk of side effects; hence caution is advised during co-administration. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consider the potential risks and benefits with their doctor before using this medication, and children may require regular growth monitoring due to possible growth delays. The elderly may have decreased bodily functions, therefore they should be observed closely and used cautiously. In cases of overdose, special treatment is usually not required, but systemic adrenal suppression may occur, requiring caution. Before use, shake the container well and perform a test spray; take care not to spray directly into the eyes or on the septum. Keep this medication out of the reach of children, and the effects on driving or operating machinery are unknown.
