Treatment of hypertension and hyperlipidemia (reduction of cardiovascular disease risk)
This drug is prescribed for patients who need to use Telmisartan and Rosuvastatin simultaneously. Telmisartan is primarily used to treat essential hypertension and reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease. It specifically reduces the risk of myocardial infarction, stroke, and death from cardiovascular diseases in high-risk patients aged over 55 years who cannot use ACE inhibitors. Rosuvastatin Calcium is used in conjunction with a diet for primary and familial hypercholesterolemia, mixed dyslipidemia, etc., and it lowers total cholesterol and LDL cholesterol levels, delaying the progression of atherosclerosis. It also reduces the risk of cardiovascular diseases, especially helping to lower the risk of stroke, myocardial infarction, and vascular revascularization in high-risk patients with elevated high-sensitivity C-reactive protein levels. Therefore, this drug is used to improve cardiovascular health through blood pressure and lipid management.
Telmisartan: For essential hypertension, it is recommended to administer 40 mg orally once daily, and depending on the patient, 20 mg once daily may also be effective. If needed, the dosage can be increased up to 80 mg once daily. For the purpose of reducing cardiovascular disease risk, it is recommended to administer 80 mg orally once daily. In patients with liver impairment, care must be taken not to exceed 40 mg once daily. Rosuvastatin Calcium: Primary
