This medication is used for patients who need to take telmisartan and rosuvastatin simultaneously. Telmisartan primarily helps treat essential hypertension and reduces the risk of cardiovascular diseases. It particularly lowers the risk of myocardial infarction, stroke, and cardiovascular-related mortality in high-risk patients who cannot use ACE inhibitors. Meanwhile, rosuvastatin is used with diet for hypercholesterolemia and mixed dyslipidemia, including familial hypercholesterolemia patients. This medication reduces total cholesterol and LDL cholesterol, slows the progression of atherosclerosis, and improves cardiovascular health by reducing the risk of cardiovascular diseases and stroke.
