This medicine contains two components: Telmisartan and Rosuvastatin, which are used together only in patients who need both. Telmisartan is mainly used for patients with essential hypertension and helps to lower the risk of myocardial infarction, stroke, and cardiovascular death in elderly patients or those with diabetes who are at high cardiovascular risk. Rosuvastatin is mainly used when cholesterol levels cannot be controlled by diet, particularly in patients with familial hypercholesterolemia or mixed dyslipidemia, and it lowers blood cholesterol levels and slows the progression of atherosclerosis. Additionally, Rosuvastatin reduces the risk of cardiovascular diseases, as well as the risks associated with stroke, myocardial infarction, and revascularization procedures. This medicine is used to manage hypertension and dyslipidemia simultaneously and improve cardiovascular health.
