Treatment of upper and lower respiratory tract infections (otitis media, pneumonia, etc.), urinary tract infections, and skin infections
This medication is effective against various bacteria including Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella, Neisseria gonorrhoeae, among others. It is primarily used to treat upper respiratory infections such as otitis media, sinusitis, and tonsillitis, as well as lower respiratory infections like bronchitis and pneumonia. Additionally, it is effective for urinary tract infections, skin and wound infections, gynecological infections, and abdominal infections, improving the symptoms of patients suffering from bacterial infections in various sites.
For adults, take 1 dose of 500 to 1000 mg (potency) of amoxicillin and sulbactam coated tablet orally 3 times a day.
Children over 12 years should take 1 dose of 500 to 1000 mg (potency) of amoxicillin and sulbactam coated tablet orally 3 times a day.
This medication is a penicillin class antibiotic and should not be used by patients with allergies to specific components. Especially if there is a history of hypersensitivity to penicillin or cephalosporin antibiotics, it should be avoided. It contains lactose, and patients with hereditary problems such as galactose intolerance, lactose deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption should not take this medication. Patients with gastrointestinal diseases, those prone to allergic reactions, and severe renal impairment should use this medication cautiously, particularly the elderly or those in poor overall condition. During use, gastrointestinal adverse effects such as vomiting, diarrhea, and abdominal pain may occur; if symptoms are severe, discontinue immediately and consult a physician. Furthermore, hypersensitivity reactions such as urticaria, rash, and swelling may occur, so careful observation is necessary. It may affect renal function, necessitating regular blood tests and kidney function tests. Long-term use should also include liver function tests, and caution is advised as infections due to bacterial overgrowth may occur. During pregnancy, the risks to the fetus are low, but it should only be administered when necessary, and during breastfeeding, it may affect the baby, so consultation with a physician is advised. In children or newborns, renal function is not fully developed, and the drug may remain in the body for a prolonged period, so it should be used cautiously. The elderly may exhibit abnormal reactions due to decreased body function, necessitating dosage adjustments and careful monitoring. This medication may interact with other drugs, so inform your physician if you are taking any other medications, especially when combined with chemotherapy agents, anti-inflammatory drugs, or oral contraceptives. In case of overdose, neurological abnormalities or renal failure may occur, so seek medical attention immediately. While taking this medication, if allergy symptoms or severe diarrhea, rash, etc., occur, discontinue use immediately and inform medical personnel. This medication should be used according to the prescribed duration and dosage, and unnecessary prolonged use should be avoided to prevent the development of resistant bacteria.
Urticaria, severe swelling (edema), chest tightness, difficulty breathing, cold sweat, pale skin, severe rash with high fever, blisters, skin peeling, pain in oral/eye mucosa, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, asthma attack, respiratory abnormalities accompanied by cough and fever, yellowing of skin or eyes (jaundice), extreme malaise, sudden and very severe headache, thunderclap headache, seizures, confusion, visual disturbances, paralysis, and urination changes.
Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, loss of appetite, upper abdominal pain, abdominal pain, indigestion, rash, itching, headache, fatigue, malaise, chills, taste alterations, dry mouth, nosebleed, glossitis, appetite loss, neuritis, fever, decreased serum albumin and total protein, increase in lymphocytes, monocytes, eosinophils, and platelets, decrease in thrombin, urticaria, maculopapular rash, and rarely anaphylaxis shock, serum sickness-like reaction, arthritis, arthralgia, myalgia, and hypersensitivity.

This medication should be stored in a sealed container to prevent air ingress and kept at room temperature between 1 to 30 degrees Celsius. Proper storage helps maintain the drug's efficacy for a longer period.
