Precautions

This medication contains the artificial sweetener aspartame, which breaks down into phenylalanine in the body. Therefore, patients with the genetic disorder phenylketonuria should not take this medication. The daily intake of aspartame should not exceed the recommended amount by WHO, with a maximum dose of 2.4 grams for adults per day. Patients who have an allergic reaction or hypersensitivity to any constituents in this medication should not take it. This medication is used to relieve asthma symptoms but does not act immediately as a bronchodilator during acute asthma attacks. Therefore, a fast-acting inhaled bronchodilator should always be carried and used during an acute attack. While taking this medication, it is possible to gradually reduce the dose of inhaled corticosteroids, but one should not abruptly switch to other steroid medications. During treatment, side effects such as fatigue, headache, indigestion, cough, and rash may occur, so if symptoms persist, consult a physician. Some patients taking this medication may rarely develop serious immune responses such as generalized eosinophilia or vasculitis, so if symptoms like respiratory distress, skin rash, or heart symptoms occur, immediate medical attention should be sought. Patients who have hypersensitivity to aspirin or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs should avoid using these drugs while taking this medication. Pregnant or nursing women should consult a physician before taking this medication and should be administered cautiously only if necessary. It is recommended not to use this medication in children, especially infants under 6 months, as safety and efficacy have not been established. In case of overdose, there is no specific antidote, and general treatment and observation are needed according to symptoms; in severe cases, a visit to a medical facility for appropriate treatment is required. This medication should be kept out of the reach of children, and care should be taken not to transfer it to other containers, as quality may change. Finally, this medication should be taken continuously as directed by healthcare professionals, even in the absence of asthma or allergy symptoms, and if symptoms worsen or unusual symptoms arise, immediate consultation with a physician is necessary.
