Precautions
This medication may impose a burden on the liver, so individuals who regularly consume more than three glasses of alcohol daily should consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking it. The acetaminophen ingredient contained in this medication may very rarely cause serious skin reactions, so if a skin rash or hypersensitivity reaction occurs, discontinue use immediately. The maximum daily dose of acetaminophen is 4,000mg, and caution is needed as taking this medication along with other acetaminophen-containing products may lead to liver damage. This medication contains the artificial sweetener aspartame, and patients with certain genetic disorders like phenylketonuria should not take it. Individuals with a history of allergic reactions to this medication, or those who have previously triggered asthma, infants under 3 months of age, and those taking certain antidepressants or antipsychotics should not use it. During treatment, special care should be taken not to use cough suppressants, other cold medications, antipyretics, sedatives, or antihistamines together. Children suspected of having chickenpox or influenza, individuals with allergic predispositions or liver, kidney, heart diseases, and pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult a healthcare professional before taking this medication. If symptoms such as rash, itching, vomiting, or dizziness occur after taking this medication, discontinue use immediately and consult a healthcare professional. If symptoms do not improve after 5-6 doses, be sure to inform a healthcare provider. Children under 2 years of age should generally not take this medication, and if necessary, a doctor's evaluation should be obtained. When taking this medication, adhere to the prescribed dosage, avoid long-term use, and refrain from alcohol consumption. Drowsiness may occur during use, so it is advisable to avoid driving or operating machinery. Caution is required when used with certain diuretics or medications containing licorice, as hypokalemia or muscle abnormalities may occur. Additionally, using this medication along with specific antibiotics (e.g., flucloxacillin) may rarely result in metabolic acidosis; if such symptoms are suspected, discontinue use.
