Precautions

This medicine should not be used in children under 6 years of age. Additionally, since it contains lactose, it should not be administered to patients with genetic disorders such as galactosemia, Lapp lactase deficiency, and glucose-galactose malabsorption. It may cause drowsiness; therefore, it is advisable to avoid driving automobiles or operating hazardous machinery while taking this medication. It may affect the central nervous system, leading to symptoms such as lethargy, numbness in hands and feet, and, occasionally, dizziness. Gastrointestinal side effects such as dry mouth, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, abdominal pain, constipation, and diarrhea may occur. Facial flushing or shortness of breath may also occur rarely, so any unusual symptoms should be consulted with a doctor. It could potentially affect liver function, necessitating regular blood tests for liver enzyme levels as they may increase. Allergic reactions such as skin rashes may occur; if such symptoms arise, discontinue use immediately and inform healthcare personnel. Urinary tract symptoms including difficulty urinating, hematuria, and frequent urination have been reported rarely, warranting caution. Patients taking this medicine long-term should reduce their steroid medication gradually as directed by a physician. This medication is not intended for the immediate relief of an already occurring bronchial asthma attack, so this must be understood prior to use. Patients with seasonal allergies should consider starting treatment before symptoms worsen and continue during the symptom period. Consuming alcohol concurrently may intensify drowsiness or sedative effects, so it is advisable to avoid alcohol. Pregnant women or those who may become pregnant should only use this medication when the benefits outweigh the risks, and nursing mothers should preferably not use it. Children or elderly patients may require dosage adjustments or special precautions due to physiological differences. Due to the bitter taste of the medication, it can be uncomfortable to take; following the prescribed method of administration is crucial. This medication should be stored out of reach of children, in a cool place that is low in humidity and shielded from direct sunlight. Moreover, to maintain quality, do not transfer it to another container; it should be stored in its designated container.
