This medication is used for patients who require simultaneous administration of telmisartan and rosuvastatin. Telmisartan is primarily used in the treatment of essential hypertension and to lower the risk of cardiovascular disease. It is particularly effective in reducing the risk of myocardial infarction, stroke, and cardiovascular death in high-risk patients aged 55 and older who cannot use ACE inhibitors. Rosuvastatin is used as an adjunct to diet to manage lipid disorders such as primary and familial hypercholesterolemia and mixed dyslipidemia. It also reduces total cholesterol and LDL cholesterol, delaying the progression of atherosclerosis and lowering the risk of cardiovascular disease. The combination of these two medications helps improve the prevention and management of cardiovascular disease.
