Tonsillitis and peritonsillar abscess are conditions characterized by inflammation in the throat area, causing pain and swelling. These two conditions are accompanied by symptoms of a swollen and painful throat and difficulty swallowing. This medication helps alleviate these inflammations and pains and aids in treating infections. Therefore, it is used for the treatment of tonsillitis and peritonsillar abscess.

How to take

Adult dose

Typically, adults take 2 capsules at a time, three times a day, dissolving them in lukewarm water before or between meals, taking small amounts to moisten the mouth or throat. Do not swallow the capsules whole.

Child dose

For children aged 7-14 years: 4/3 capsules, which is 2/3 of the adult dose; for 4-6 years: 1 capsule, which is 1/2 of the adult dose; for 2-3 years: 2/3 capsule, which is 1/3 of the adult dose; for children under 1 year: 1/4 of the adult dose.

Precautions

This medication should not be taken by infants under 3 months. Since it contains lactose, patients with genetic issues such as galactose intolerance, lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption should not take it. Patients with hypertension or heart or kidney diseases must consult a professional before taking this medication. Patients with edema, the elderly, or those currently taking other medications also need to consult a professional before use. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant, patients with weakened physical conditions, and those who frequently have diarrhea due to fragile stomachs also need to exercise caution. Patients who have previously experienced skin rashes or itching from medications, along with infants under 1 year, should prioritize consultation with a professional. This medicine contains a dye called Tartrazine; those allergic to this ingredient should take it cautiously. If symptoms such as swelling of the face or limbs, elevated blood pressure, or headaches occur while taking this medication, stop immediately and consult a professional. If unusual symptoms such as muscle weakness, convulsions, skin rashes, dyspepsia, or diarrhea appear, discontinue use and inform a professional. If symptoms do not improve after taking this medication 5 to 6 times, discontinue use and seek advice. Long-term use is not recommended, and if necessary, consult a professional. Strictly adhere to the prescribed dosage and administration, and be cautious of potential side effects when taking other medications containing potassium or licorice ingredients. When taking with other herbal medications, be careful not to overlap ingredients. When administering to children, a guardian must guide and supervise. When storing, avoid direct sunlight and place in a cool place with low humidity, out of reach of children. To prevent misuse or quality degradation, medications must be stored in their original container and sealed.
