This medication helps relieve symptoms such as sneezing, runny nose, nasal congestion, and tearing caused by cold or allergic and vasomotor rhinitis. It also has a temporary effect in relieving nasal congestion due to sinusitis. Therefore, it is used to improve discomfort related to the nose.

How to take

Adult dose

Children age 12 and older, and adults: Take 1 tablet every 4 hours. Do not exceed 6 tablets in 24 hours and follow the doctor's instructions.

Child dose

Children aged 6 to under 12 years: Take 1/2 tablet every 4 hours. Do not exceed 3 tablets in 24 hours and follow the doctor's instructions. Children under 6 years: Follow the doctor's instructions.

Precautions

This medication contains sympathomimetic amines and antihistamines, so patients who are allergic to these ingredients should not take it. Patients with special constitutions or nursing women should also avoid using this medication. Patients with severe hypertension, coronary heart disease, and those undergoing treatment with a specific antidepressant, MAO inhibitor, should also avoid this medication. Patients with conditions that make breathing difficult such as glaucoma, urinary retention, peptic ulcer, asthma, and chronic lung disease should refrain from taking it as well. Additionally, patients currently using sedatives or tranquilizers should also avoid using this medication together. This medication contains lactose, making it unsuitable for patients with genetic issues that prevent lactose digestion. Patients with specific conditions such as chronic bronchitis, heart disease, hypertension, thyroid problems, diabetes, glaucoma, and prostate enlargement should not take it without a doctor's direction. While using this medication, side effects such as fear, anxiety, tremors, weakness, shortness of breath, difficulty urinating, insomnia, hallucinations, seizures, heart arrhythmias, dizziness, and hypotension may occur. Those sensitive to the phenylephrine ingredient may experience increased heart rate or symptoms such as headache, dizziness, and nausea; however, at appropriate doses, it is considered safe. Antihistamines may cause drowsiness, dry mouth, dizziness, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, headache, nervousness, frequent urination, chest pain, blurred vision, and difficulty urinating; rare instances of dermatitis may also occur. This medication may induce drowsiness, so using it with alcohol or sedatives may heighten drowsiness. Children may exhibit excessive excitability when taking this medication, so caution is necessary. If symptoms do not improve within 7 days or are accompanied by a high fever, consult a doctor immediately. Do not drink alcohol while taking this medication, and avoid activities requiring concentration such as driving or operating machinery. Do not exceed the prescribed dosage, and if an overdose occurs accidentally, consult a doctor immediately. If symptoms such as dizziness, insomnia, or nervousness occur, stop taking the medication and consult a doctor. Lastly, it is important to store this medication in a safe place out of the reach of children.
