Improvement of essential hypertension
Essential hypertension refers to a condition in which blood pressure remains consistently high, which can affect cardiovascular health. This medication helps effectively lower blood pressure and protects the heart and blood vessels. Regular intake can help manage blood pressure steadily. Additionally, it plays an important role in preventing serious complications such as heart attacks and strokes. Patients should consistently take the medication as directed by their doctor while also working on improving lifestyle habits. This drug is used for the treatment of essential hypertension.
The recommended initial dosage is 10 mg once daily, taken regardless of meals. If blood pressure is not adequately controlled at this dosage, it can be increased to 20 mg once daily. If additional blood pressure lowering effect is required, the dosage may be further increased to a maximum of 40 mg once daily. For elderly patients aged 65 and above, dosage adjustment is not necessary. The maximum dosage for patients with mild to moderate renal impairment is 20 mg once daily.
